Longform Editing
This is an example of a lengthy editing project involving multiple writers, editors and executives with the College Board’s Development and Advocacy Initiatives Department. In an effort to salute the education profession and advocate for it, “Teachers Are the Center of Education” profiled eight standout teachers. The overall project spanned several weeks, and DRAFT’s work involved first-round compositional edits of the profiles then a final review of the full report to ensure fluidity and alignment with the department’s mission. Like a lot of collateral, this piece had an immediate function but needed to retain shelf life for several months, so part of the editing challenge included ensuring language had sticking power.
